Suzanna Owiyo and Oliver Mtukudzi
Zimbabwean superstar Oliver Mtukudzi is in Nairobi for Suzanna Owiyo’s album launch on May 18, 2011 at the Carnivore. Oliver flew into Nairobi on Monday night for the launch of ‘My Roots‘, which is Suzanna’s sophomore album.

Oliver Mtukudzi is a legend in his own right in Zimbabwe and around the world.  He recently launched his 59th album, Rudaviro, at the Harare International Conference Center to mark his turning 59 last September.  He had delayed the release in order to release ‘Cheziya’, that was done by his late son, Sam.  He will join Suzanna Owiyo on stage, along with Jua Cali and Makadem, all of whom collaborated on some songs on the album.
Suzanna Owiyo has been touring Europe with legend Youssou N’dour to promote the album.  The tour covered 11 countries.  She is excited to be back in Nairobi to share it with the Kenyan populace.  Sales from the album and the stage tours will go towards supporting girls in secondary school.
